Lottery funding secured for In Rhythm with Nature project

Updated: Apr 25, 2023

On Sunday 30th April we will be launching our new In Rhythm with Nature project at the Organiclea Open Day at Hawkwood nursery in North Chingford. Join us for an African drumming taster between 1 and 3pm and find out more about the project. No need to book for the session on 30th April - just turn up.

The first project sessions will take place between May and August. Book your free place here.

Sessions commence on Thursday 4th May. Join Gambian drummer Seneke Sillah for an uplifting session of African drumming, song and movement set in 100 acres of beautiful woodland at the Organiclea site in North Chingford.

Group drumming has been proven effective in enhancing well-being and social resilience, as well as the alleviation of depression and anxiety.

Weather permitting, activities will take place outdoors. In the case of inclement weather the session will take place in the woodland classroom.

Light refreshments will be provided.

All levels and abilities welcome. All drums provided but feel free to bring your own drum if you want to.

Participants will also be given the option to join us for a guided woodland wellbeing walk after the session.
